  ClubLinkster Concept Minimize

The concept

The ‘’ClubLinkters’’ program for youngsters from ages 5 to 9 years and from 10 to 13, is a program based on discovery, apprenticeship and pleasure experienced on a golf and tennis environment while practicing cultural, artistic and aquatic activities in an enchanting setting. In addition to the numerous team games practiced in groups, the learning concepts represent much more then the ability to play. It is a structured program initiating kids to different sports, cultural and artistic activities while getting new knowledge and while developing confidence in oneself.

The program includes teaching of the basics, concept of supervised practice, supervised play and sessions on the history and traditions. Learning to observe the rules, the etiquette and the values of the games are also on the agenda. Finally, the assimilation of the technical aspects of each  sport will contribute to the development of the appropriated physical abilities.

The philosophy

The numerous mental and emotional exercises provided in swimming, playing tennis and golf give tremendous opportunities to communicate and exchange the daily values of life. The enthusiasm, the sincerity, the honesty and the sense of ‘’Fair Play’’ are part of it too. They certainly mould our behaviours. Learning how to set goals, to find ways of attaining them is stimulating and well worth the try. Learning how to win a competition is fun as well. Of course, the ultimate goal of the program is not to produce champions, but rather to offer to all participants a progressive evolvement through skills that are revealed in ability tests.

It will be nice if the program produces a new star, but the most important objective for the Académie Le Maître is to encourage kids and young players from all ages to evolve through fair play in different sports so they become healthy and responsible young women and young men positively involved in their environment and life. Ultimately and hopefully they will play these sports with interest all their lives.

Objectives of the program

Sport gives development opportunities on many levels for juniors. The social, cultural, physical, emotional and mental aspects are part of it as much as the development of sporting abilities. For these reasons, the goals of the program, by order of priorities are:

  1. Enjoyment and meritGolf, tennis, exercises and art in general are fun activities. Juniors should practice them because their experiences are joy full and pleasant, not because their parents are forcing them to play.
  2. To help juniors to learn new elements of these games while playing and developing to the best of their abilities. Through teaching, experiencing the fundamentals, while respecting the conventions, rules and etiquette, while helping them to assimilate an adapted technique, a new strategy and tactics in real play situations. Through encouragement, while inviting them to practice often, and to do the best of their abilities with the appropriate effort.
  3. Contributing to personal development through social games, aiming for emotional control and mental faculties such as concentration, attention and other fundamental values such as discipline and self-respect. The program aims also at making the youngster more responsible for the respect of decorum by helping to make aware the consequences of their actions.
